The government and ruling coalition parties decided Sunday on the largest ever reduction of overall medical treatment fees, a cut of 3.16 percent, for fiscal 2006 to save about 240 billion yen in government subsidized medical expenses.

Medication fees will be cut by 1.8 percent.
Medcare cost will be cut by 2.4%
